Rep. Kevin Kiley’s PROTECT Our Kids Act Passes the House

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Kevin Kiley’s (CA-03) bill PROTECT Our Kids Act Passed the House today with strong bipartisan support.

The legislation addresses increasing concerns over Chinese Communist Party-funded education initiatives, which have operated in more than 500 K–12 schools across the United States. These programs are not about education, they are about influence, shaping curriculum and swaying young minds in favor of a regime with a long record of human rights abuses, censorship, and suppression of fundamental freedoms.

“Today’s bipartisan vote sends a clear message: America will not allow foreign adversaries to shape the minds of our students,” Rep. Kiley said. “The PROTECT Our Kids Act ensures that our tax dollars support genuine education, not the agendas of those who oppose our values and freedoms.”

The PROTECT Our Kids Act prevents American tax dollars from supporting CCP/foreign-backed programs that influence curriculum or push propaganda in our schools.

The bill will need to pass the Senate before becoming law.
