Regional Collective Housing Committee to
Host Housing Needs Workshops
Eastern Sierra, CA – In a concerted effort to address regional housing challenges, the Collective Housing Committee (CHC) – comprised of Inyo County, Mono County, the City of Bishop, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, and the Eastern Sierra Council of Governments (ESCOG) – will host a workshop next week to present findings and gather public input to inform the Eastern Sierra Housing Needs Study.
Two workshops will be held hosted by Inyo County and Mono County at the following times and locations:
• Mono County Meeting: Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Mono County Civic Center Mono Lake Room 105, 1290 Tavern Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546
• Mono County Virtual Meeting: Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.

This workshop event will provide an overview of the project purpose and goals, present findings from the employee-employer survey findings, provide demographic and housing market trends, and discuss next steps in the Housing Action Needs Plan process. Attendees are invited to provide input and ask questions.
Active community participation is essential to the success of this effort. In addition to the workshops, the CHC and consultants will gather insight through interviews with stakeholders and surveys of local residents, employees, and employers to understand housing needs and how labor shortages are affecting regional businesses.
