Tonight on the evening news a Green Beret posthumously received the Medal of Honor for bravery on the battlefield of Afghanistan . He is one of the endless line of patriots who have safeguarded our democratic way of life. These patriots stand shoulder to shoulder with brave civilians who support the cause of freedom and the fight for advancement of human rights.

Are you registered to vote? If not you have until October 18 to get registered. Go to the town offices located on the second level (over Giovanni’s Restaurant) in the Von’s Shopping center. They have forms in both English and Spanish. Fill out the form and give it to the person at the desk and you will get a receipt.

The best tribute you can pay to our patriots is to get to the voting booth on Election Day November 2.
