PRESTON WAYNE PIPER

It is with great sadness with the passing of Preston W. Piper, who left us on January 2, 2024. He
was 48 years old. Preston was born on October 23, 1975 in Bishop, CA, to Alverna Piper and
Floyd Piper Sr., an enrolled tribal member with the Bishop Paiute Tribe.

Preston was a tremendous athlete, he loved basketball, his favorite NBA team was the Chicago
Bulls, and his favorite player was Michael Jordan. He also played baseball in his younger years
and played football for Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, CA. The Washington Redskins was his favorite NFL football team.

He loved his 2 sons, Deston Piper, and Kenyon Piper and his grandkids Mathias and Jacob Piper.

He enjoyed playing cards, board games and any sport in which he was very competitive. He
loved spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by Deston Piper (son), Mathias and Jacob Piper (grandkids), Kenyon Piper (son), Floyd Piper Sr. (dad and wife June Piper), Reggie Saubel (brother), Tammy Spoonhunter (sister), Floyd Piper Jr. (brother), Darrick Piper (brother), Troy Piper (brother) and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, January 13 th , 2024, at the gymnasium at 390 N. Barlow Lane, Bishop, CA at 11am, with burial at Sunland Cemetery on S. Barlow Lane. Following will be a reception at gymnasium on Barlow Lane.
