California Strategic Growth Council Funding

Funding opportunity from the California Strategic Growth Council that’s open to California Native American Tribes, community-based organizations and nonprofits, local government agencies, and small businesses.

This summer the California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) will open Round 2 of the Regional Climate Collaboratives (RCC) Program. RCC is a grant program designed to help communities establish partnerships, funding pathways, plan and policy readiness, and a local network of TA providers to pursue funding and implement climate projects. Eligible applicants include: California Native American Tribes, community-based organizations and nonprofits, local government agencies, small businesses, and organizations with a history of providing community-based outreach and technical assistance. Program Timeline / Key Dates to Remember!

  • June 19: Final Guidelines will be posted to the SGC website
  • June 29: SGC adopts Final Guidelines during our public meeting
  • July 6: SGC releases the Notice of Funding Availability and application
  • September 6: Pre-Proposals are due
  • December 6: Full Proposals are due

Office Hours:  RCC staff and the technical assistance team will host weekly office hours on Wednesdays from 1-2pm via Zoom July 12-September This is a great opportunity to workshop initial project concepts and get clarity on program requirements. Registration links are available here.

Consultation Calls: The technical assistance team is conducting a limited number of 30-minute consultation calls with applicants. These are prioritized for applicants from rural, unincorporated, and tribal communities. These can be scheduled in advance of the NOFA release.
