Open House At Bishop Fire Department
Bishop, CA
Tonight, the Bishop Fire Department on Line Street had families gathered for an evening of learning, exploration, and fun.
Visitors were welcomed to tour the station and take part in an informative question-and-answer session with Fire Chief Russell, who spoke about local fire safety, emergency response, and the department’s work in the community.
Afterwards, kids got hands-on experience spraying water with real fire hoses, climbing in and out of fire trucks, and meeting the station’s mascot, Pluggy. Adults joined the fun too, getting a closer look at the gear firefighters use in the line of duty, including the breathing apparatus.
The event offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at life in the firehouse while building stronger connections between residents and their local first responders.
Video of Fire Chief Russell and fun video of the young children spraying water coming soon.
