Record-Breaking March Heat
The region is gearing up for an extended heatwave, which will elevate temperatures to unprecedented levels for March. This early-season heat, especially during many counties’ Spring Breaks, can be very dangerous for both residents and tourists. Temperatures will continue to climb through at least the middle of next week.
- Temperatures are expected to increase significantly next week with readings potentially 20-30 degrees above normal.
- Many areas have a high likelihood of setting record high temperatures, and a few areas could potentially set all-time March records.
