A sharp change in weather conditions is expected as a strong early season storm system impacts the region through midweek.
The first significant snow accumulations of the season are expected in the Sierra where a Winter Storm Warning has been issued. Winter Weather Advisories are also in effect for the White Mountains, Spring Mountains, and Sheep Range.
Widespread gusty winds will continue through Tuesday, with Wind Advisories in effect for most of the area.
Rain showers develop Tuesday, especially along and north/west of I-15, moving across the region from west to east.
Much cooler conditions will overspread the region by midweek.
