Notice of Election

Danielle M. Sexton, Inyo County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, would like to inform the public of the local positions that will be included in the June 2, 2026, Statewide Primary Election. The process for becoming a candidate for this Primary Election will begin on December 19, 2025. Additional key dates are provided below. Qualified candidates must be registered voters and live within the district boundary for which they file.

The local Inyo County contests included in the June 2, 2026, Statewide Primary Election are Judge of the Superior Court (2 seats), Board of Supervisors, District 1; Board of Supervisors, District 3; County Superintendent of Schools; Assessor; Auditor; Clerk-Recorder; Coroner; Public Administrator-Public Guardian; and Treasurer-Tax Collector. Key Primary Election Dates for Candidates:

• Signatures In-Lieu of Filing Fee period begins December 19, 2025, and closes February 4, 2026.

• Declaration of Candidacy/Nomination Document period begins February 9, 2026, and closes March 6, 2026.

• Local Voter Information Guides with Candidates’ Statements will be available beginning on April 23, 2026.
