Danielle M. Sexton, Inyo County Clerk-Recorder, reminds voters that there are several Board Member positions up for election on November 5, 2024, in the following districts. Qualified candidates must live within the district which they file for.
Municipal
• City of Bishop Council Member (three 4-year seats)
• City of Bishop Treasurer (one 4-year seat)
Board of Education
• Board of Education, Area 2 (one 4-year seat)
• Board of Education, Area 4 (one 4-year seat)
School Districts
• Big Pine Unified School District Board Member (three 4-year seats)
• Bishop Unified School District Board Member (two 4-year seats)
• Death Valley Unified School District Board Member (two 4-year seats; one 2-year seat)
• Lone Pine Unified School District Board Member (two 4-year seats)
• Owens Valley Unified School District Board Member (two 4-year seats)
• Round Valley Joint Elementary School District Board Member (one 4-year seat)
• Trona Joint Unified School District Board Member (two 4-year seats)

The filing period for these positions is from 7/15/2024 through 8/09/2024.
Forms will be available beginning 7/15/2024 at the County Elections Office, Bishop City Hall, Community Service District Offices, School District Offices and at the Business Offices of Northern Inyo County Local Hospital District and Southern Inyo Healthcare District. In the event there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for the office and a petition for an election is not filed with the elections official within the time period prescribed, appointment to each elective office will be made as set by Elections Code § 10515.
