Mono County Office of Education would like to say congratulations and job well done, to all of the students that participated in the Mock Trial event held at the Bridgeport Court House on January 21, 2016.

Mono County Office of Education invites all High Schools to participate in the Mock Trial annual county competition. Teams from Coleville and Lee Vining participated this year. Each year it is a pleasure to watch the students perform the feat of trying to prosecute or defend a legal case presented by the California Rights Foundation. This year the case was People v. Hayes,  a murder trial.

From Coleville High School: Angel Armbruster, Steven Bumbar, Reina Childs, Elene Closson, Skye Donahue, Aiden Little, Amber Little, Jordyn Pinochi, Jud Roberts, Cielo Sandoval, Lance Warner. Coleville High School will be going to State Competition in March.

From Lee Vining High School: Riley Beck, Sawyer Beck, Rosalie Burch, Danny Copado, Berlin DelAguila, Charles DesBaillets, Julie Harris, Ethan Lehen, Emma Lowery, Sophia McKee, Caelen McQuilkin, Karli Mosher, Jamie Ross.

We would also like to thank Judge Mark Magit, Daniel Lengeman, Deputy District Attorney, Brad Braaten,  Deputy District Attorney for their valuable contribution of time and expertise.

Thank you to the students’ coaches Sharon Soule from Coleville High School and Jamie Godoy from Lee Vining High School.
