Press release

Mammoth Lakes — The Mammoth Lakes Tourism Board of Directors recently welcomed two new members. Scott McGuire was appointed to one of the At-Large seats, while Colin Fernie was appointed as the Board’s new Town Council representative.

McGuire is the President and Brand Strategist for The Mountain Lab, a full-service brand strategy and development company. He replaces outgoing Board member Matthew Lehman who served on the MLT Board for six years.

“Mammoth Lakes is unique in its appeal, from recreation and proximity to wilderness to the ‘can do’ and ‘do it yourself’ mindset that built the town and resort,” McGuire said. “As a brand builder, I am excited to participate in the MLT board and help the world see how special this place is for many reasons.”

Fernie is the co-owner of Black Tie Ski Rentals in Mammoth Lakes, and he replaces outgoing Board member Michael Raimondo, who served on the Board for five years.

“Mammoth Lakes Tourism plays a tremendously important role in the current and future success of our resort community,” Fernie explained. “I am excited to join the Board of Directors to learn from, and engage with this group of hardworking, knowledgeable and intelligent community leaders.”

“The Mammoth Lakes Tourism Board of Directors would like to welcome our new Board Members; Scott McGuire and Colin Fernie,” said John Morris, Board Chairman. “We look forward to working with you in the coming year. We would also like to thank outgoing Directors Matthew Lehmann and Michael Raimondo for their many years of excellent service to the Board. Both Matthew and Michael were instrumental in guiding MLT to the great successes we are seeing today. Thank you both for your insights and enthusiasm!”
