THURSDAY Nov 07 2013

Upper ridge still in power over our area, although it has allowed some clouds to filter over the top from a low pressure system up by Vancouver Island. That ridge will continue to dominate our weather through the holiday weekend. So you can expect slightly above normal temperatures through then. By later Monday, an upper low from the Gulf of Alaska will have dropped southward down the West Coast and create a slight chance of rain and snow in Mammoth and Mono County, Monday night into Tuesday.

UPDATE: A report into my office: “The USFS was performing a controlled burn around the area of Bald Mountain. This burn is scheduled for several days. Per Jennifer Hansen, Public Information Officer, Mono County Sheriff.” Thank you for this Launa.
