Shannon Kendall with the Mono Sheriffs Department reports that officers arrested two Chalfant residents for marijuana cultivation. On Wednesday, after a two week investigation, officers report that Mono and Inyo Narcotic Agents, the Bishop Police Department, and the Mono County Sheriffs Department served a search warrant at a residence located on Chidago Way, Chalfant.

Officers report that 49 year old Scott Thomas Pfuhl and 45 year old Margaret Ann Peggy Pierce, were arrested for related narcotic violations. Pfuhl was charged with cultivation of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia. Pierce was charged with conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia; both were booked into the Mono County Jail. Pierce was arrested on drug manufacturing charges in 2006.

Narcotic Agents report that they seized over 70 marijuana plants, scales, hydroponic materials, and other items related to the cultivation of marijuana and the consumption of methamphetamine.
