Ever wonder what our local police are dealing with on a 24/7-hour basis? It’s not exactly “Hawaii 5 0” or even “Mammoth Lakes 5 0” for that matter. Mostly, they’re keeping the peace and safeguarding the community.

They do that by making welfare inquiries to make sure someone is okay, dealing with animal issues from dogs to bears, and dealing with domestic disputes or child custody problems  responding to reports of theft, robbery, burglary, assault…and sometimes, things even worse The list goes on and on. Often they are as much social worker as police officer; as much comforter as enforcer of the law. These Activity Logs give you some idea of what our police officers deal with day-to-day.
