Mammoth Lakes Tourism Launches Without A Trace Stewardship Marketing Campaign
Mammoth Lakes Tourism is proud to introduce Without A Trace, a new stewardship campaign that encourages visitors to protect and preserve the natural beauty of Mammoth Lakes by treading lightly and leaving no trace.
With over 1.7 million visitors annually, Mammoth Lakes continues to be one of California’s most sought-after mountain destinations. The Without a Trace campaign responds to the growing need for respectful visitation by inspiring more mindful behavior from travelers. Through striking visuals that depict people blending seamlessly into the Eastern Sierra landscape, the campaign delivers a powerful message: the best way to experience Mammoth Lakes is to leave no trace at all.
“With the Without a Trace campaign, we’re reminding visitors that the most meaningful connection to this place comes from respecting it,” said Sarah Winters, Vice President of Marketing at Mammoth Lakes Tourism. “ This isn’t just a message, it’s a movement toward stewardship that ensures the magic of Mammoth Lakes is protected and preserved for generations to come.”
Strategic In-Market Targeting
Without a Trace is a targeted in-market campaign, served directly to travelers who are planning or currently visiting Mammoth Lakes. By reaching people at key decision-making moments, before and during their trip, the campaign ensures its stewardship message resonates when it matters most. The campaign has been launched using a strategic mix of paid, earned, and owned media to maximize reach and impact.
Partner Participation and Community Support
Mammoth Lakes Tourism invites local businesses and community partners to participate by sharing campaign visuals across social media channels. Downloadable creative assets and suggested social captions are available in the partner toolkit, including messages for hiking, paddling, and general wilderness activities.
