Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for this year’s Business Excellence Awards—we’re thrilled to have a record number! Stay tuned for the final voting stage, which will once again be open to Chamber members only.

In the meantime, we invite you to be part of The Ripple Effect of Excellence. Two top partner sponsor spots remain—an opportunity to show leadership within our business community. Another way for businesses to get involved is through raffle donations. We are always super grateful for the raffle prizes donated over the years that make the gala so much fun. If you are interested in sponsoring or can contribute an item or experience for this year’s gala, please reach out to us: [email protected]. And, by the way, gala tickets will be on sale soon!

Chamber Check-in

We know surveys can feel a little tedious—but they’re important. Your input helps the Chamber shape services and programs around what our members truly need—and what our broader community depends on. The membership survey takes 7–10 minutes, your responses are confidential, and the results will guide our future, together. When you open the email, look for the outlined box labeled “Begin Survey.” If it looks empty, don’t worry—clicking it gets you started. Thanks for helping us stay on track. Please email us if you didn’t receive it: [email protected]

Bill on Pricing Fails

A bill that would have banned technology used for setting prices and managing supply (SB 384) was stopped in committee last week. CalChamber opposed the measure, noting it would limit tools like dynamic pricing, which is already common in retail, hospitality, real estate, and more, helping businesses stay efficient and competitive. >>> Click here to read the article

Smoke Resources

With heavy smoke in town, here are some helpful resources. For real-time air quality, visit the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District, AirNow, or PurpleAir (select Explore the Map). The Watch Duty app is also useful for fire updates. For smoke forecasts, see California Smoke Blog. Visitor info and tips are available in the Visit Mammoth Summer Guide. Please take heed of any health warnings.
