Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce Announces 2025 4th of July Parade

Grand Marshals: Chris Benchetler & Kimmy Fasani

Mammoth Lakes, CA – The Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce is so excited to announce that pro freeskier legend, artist, and filmmaker Chris Benchetler and pro snowboarder, advocate, mother and author Kimmy Fasani will serve as the Grand Marshals for the 2025 4ᵗʰ of July Parade.

As Mammoth Lakes locals and world-renowned athletes, Benchetler and Fasani have made an  extraordinary impact on the outdoor sports industry, artistic storytelling, and the local community. Benchetler’s blend of athleticism and creativity has led him to redefine freeskiing while expressing his deep connection to the mountains through painting and film. His groundbreaking work, including the award-winning film, also starring his wife Kimmy, Fire On The Mountain, embodies his philosophy that “Mother Nature was and continues to be my best teacher.”

Fasani, a trailblazer in professional snowboarding, has pushed the limits of the sport while  advocating for women in action sports and motherhood in elite competition. After overcoming an  aggressive breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, she returned to competition, securing a podium finish at The Natural Selection Tour. Her story is now the focus of her newly released documentary, Butterfly in a Blizzard, which offers a deeply personal look into her journey balancing motherhood, resilience, and elite snowboarding.

“The 4ᵗʰ of July Parade is a cherished tradition that unites our community in celebration,” said  Brianna Goico, President & CEO of the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce. “Chris and Kimmy represent the adventurous spirit and creative energy that make Mammoth Lakes so special. We are thrilled to have them lead this year’s parade.”

The 2025 parade theme will center around art and nature, reflecting the breathtaking landscapes and  creative influences that shape life in Mammoth Lakes. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate by entering a themed float and/or becoming a parade sponsor. Multiple sponsorship levels are available, providing great visibility and community support in one of Mammoth’s biggest annual events for both locals and visitors.
