The above photo shows the McGee Mountain Rope Tow plaque — a marker of where Eastern Sierra skiing began. Today it sits along a stretch of burned terrain, a reminder of how deeply this fire has touched our region.
Community generosity has helped raise over $100,000 through the Mammoth Community Foundation (MCF) — an incredible amount, yet still not enough once it’s divided among the households affected.
If you’ve been impacted by the Pack Fire, or know someone who has, please reach out to the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce — we operate the Mammoth Community Foundation and can make sure you’re added to the assistance list. email: [email protected]
