Mailing Dates and Voter Registration Information
Danielle Sexton, Inyo County Registrar of Voters, would like to inform voters that every active registered voter in Inyo County will be mailed a Local Voter Information Guide beginning Thursday September 26, 2024, and will be mailed an Official Ballot beginning Monday October 7, 2024.
Voter Registration Deadline for the November 5, 2024, General Election is October 21, 2024. Voter Registration forms are available at the Inyo County Elections Office and any Inyo County Post Office or Library. Online registration is available at https://RegisterToVote.ca.gov/.
Registration after October 21, 2024, is only available in person either on Election Day at any polling place in Inyo County, or on any business day during office hours at the Elections Office in Independence. At either location option, both registration and casting a vote are required on the same day. For voter registration efficiency and flexibility, it is recommended to register by or before the deadline.Anyone who has recently moved is encouraged to check their registered physical and mailing addresses at https://VoterStatus.sos.ca.gov/.
NEW FOR 2024 – You can bring your Inyo County mailed ballot to any Inyo County polling place on Election Day and use it to vote in person! For this option, you must check in with the Election Workers and sign the Roster before casting your ballot.Alternatively, you may “vote by mail” by dropping off your mailed ballot sealed inside your signed ballot envelope at any polling place, Official Ballot Box, the Elections Office in Independence, or with USPS.
Your in-person voting location may have changed! Be sure to check your location before voting in person. Inyo County Polling Place locations, Official Ballot Drop Box locations, Voter Information Guides with Sample Ballots, and the option to sign up to track your ballot can all be found at https://elections.inyocounty.us/.
