voterFor Inyo and Mono County Supervisor Districts, the June election will mean races and lots of them.  The status of the Mammoth Town Council election remained unknown at last report.

In Inyo County, in District 2, incumbent Susan Cash has filed papers.  Jeff Griffiths and Russ Aldridge have pulled papers.  In District 4, incumbent Marty Fortney has filed.  Three other people have pulled papers – Nina Weisman, Christopher Dingwillo, and Mark Tillemans.  In District 5, three have pulled papers – incumbent Richard Cervantes and challengers Jim Gentry and Matt Kingsley.

In Mono County, in District 2, incumbent Hap Hazard filed to run and Fred Stump has taken out papers to run.  In District 3, incumbent Vikki Bauer has filed and Tim Alpers and Patti Heinrich have taken out papers.  In District 4, three candidates have taken out papers – Tim Fesko, Jan Huggans and Bob Peters.

Meanwhile, in Mammoth Lakes the seats of Mayor Jo Bacon and Councilman Skip Harvey are open for election.  Bacon has pulled papers to run.  Harvey has publicly stated that he will run for re-election.  Although Harvey has dealt with cancer and treatments, he says he is doing very well and says his health is not an issue with his performance.

Declarations of candidacy in all races must be filed by March 9th.
