It’s been a long and hot summer. The hope that the coronavirus would abate during the heat of the summer proved to be only a false hope. Every time there has been some glimmer of progress in controlling the coronavirus, it would prove to be far more resistant to being kept under control as visitors flooded the towns and campgrounds in the Eastern Sierra and too many ignored the local health orders on wearing face masks-coverings, and practicing social-physical distancing.
