Dr. Kimberly Kirner

Dr. Kirner is from California State University, Northridge, and has been working in the Owens Valley for many years on a variety of projects.

This map has the potential to be a powerful tool for awareness of incremental changes through time, especially if residents actively participate in mapping places that have changed, and talk with one another about those changes.

Dr. Kirner will be in the Owens Valley on March 12, 2016 and there will be two opportunities to learn to use the mapping tool.

11:00 AM at the Bishop Library, 210 Academy Street

5:30 PM at the Annual Friends of the Eastern California Museum Potluck Dinner and Silent Auction at the Legion Hall in Independence on Highway 395. A Reception precedes the dinner – 4:30 PM at the Eastern California Museum.
The Bishop talk is sponsored by the Independence Civic Club and the Inyo County Free Library.

The Independence talk is sponsored by Friends of the Eastern California Museum and will be a more detailed lecture on the Coping with Change project, an opportunity to join the Friends of the Eastern California Museum, a wonderful potluck dinner, and a chance to win fabulous items at the Silent Auction.

Both talks are part of the Inyo County Sesquicentennial Celebration.
GO INYO!
