John E. Baxter, life long resident of the Owens Valley died in Covina, CA on Wednesday October 16th, 2019.  He was 89. John was born  in Sacramento, CA November 17th 1929 to Lester Harold Baxter and Clara Bransetter- Baxter. The family moved to the Owens Valley the following year. After High School John went to work for LADWP as a Draftsman for more than 30 years. He was also a life long member of the Freemasons. Graveside services will be held at Independence Cemetery on Saturday October 25th, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
