Wildrose Lane Fire – Arrest Update
On December 23, 2025, Jason Spinale of Bishop was arrested following findings made by firefighters while suppressing the structure fire on Wildrose Lane.
Spinale indicated he planned to leave the residence to stay with a friend.
During fire suppression, BFD personnel observed suspected contraband inside the home, including narcotics paraphernalia and items believed to be prohibited firearms. Corporal Cuthbert of the Inyo County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) reviewed the items and confirmed they violated California Penal Code.
Upon his return to the scene, Spinale was detained by law enforcement for the suspected violations.
Pursuant to a search warrant issued by Judge Rizo, deputies executed a search of Spinale’s residence, seizing illegal firearms and controlled substances.
At approximately 10:36 p.m., Spinale was arrested and transported to the Inyo County Jail.
He was booked on multiple charges, including:
PC 30605(a) – Illegal possession of an assault weapon (Felony)
PC 32310(a) – Manufacturing, sale, or possession of a large-capacity magazine (Misdemeanor)
PC 29180(c) – Possession of a firearm without a serial number (Misdemeanor)
HS 11351 – Possession/purchase of a controlled substance for sale (Felony)
HS 11378 – Possession of a controlled substance for sale (Felony)
HS 11366 – Maintaining a place for the purpose of selling narcotics (Felony)
HS 11350(a) – Possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
HS 11377(a) – Possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
PC 381b – Possession of nitrous oxide (Misdemeanor)
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation into the Wildrose Lane fire is ongoing. At this time, there is no threat to public safety, and no additional information is available.
