James Richard Barnato (Dick) was born on March 6, 1939, in Glendale, California. He was raised in Burbank and worked for Martino’s Bakery for many years. He resided in the San Fernando Valley until he moved to Bishop, California in the 1970’s. He fell in love with this little town and made it his home for the next 50 years. He learned every detail about Bishop and the surrounding areas and shared this knowledge with all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf.
He shared many weekends with friends four-wheeling and exploring the beauty and splendor of the area. He was an avid gardener, loved entertaining & cooking and welcomed many into his home. Let’s not forget his passion for dining out with friends and of course, sharing the leftovers with his beloved dog.
Dick passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. He is survived by his son Scott and daughter Tracy.
He was loved and will be missed by many.
