INYO COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY PRESS RELEASE Oct. 10, 2012
The Inyo County District Attorney’s Office announced today that Ronald
Evert Barr was convicted by an Inyo County Jury of two (2) Felony counts
involving a minor. First, Mr. Barr was convicted of participating in an
act of oral copulation with a person under the age of eighteen years.
The jury also convicted Mr. Barr of committing an act of oral copulation
of a person who was prevented from resisting by intoxication and the
condition was known, and reasonably should have been known by the
defendant. Mr. Barr faces up to eight (8) years in prison and will be
required to register as a Sex Offender pursuant to the California Penal
Code Section 290.
Mr. Barr will be sentenced on Dec. 7, 2012.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Joel Samuels.
I am glad to see the DA office has finally started to release public information to the public. It’s about time.
