A former Bishop resident has been arrested and returned to Inyo County to face criminal charges related to child molestation.
Assistant District Attorney for Inyo County, Mark Johnson reports that the DAs office has filed charges against 35 year old Kevin Michael Fitzsimmons. Fitzsimmons is accused of allegedly molesting four children in Bishop between 1999 and 2001.
Johnson reports that Brian Dressler, investigator with the DAs office and Detective Dave Jepson with the Bishop Police, arrested Mr. Fitzsimmons in Yuma, Arizona.
Fitzsimmons has been charged with four counts with four separate victims alleged. The charges filed by the DAs office are two counts of engaging in multiple acts of substantial sexual conduct with a child under the age of fourteen and two counts of engaging in lewd acts with a child under the age of fourteen.
Johnson reports that Fitzsimmons is believed to have lived in the Bishop area for many years before he moved to Yuma, Arizona in 2007. He asks that anyone who may have information related to these charges, contact Agent Dressler at the District Attorneys Office.
