Speaking of Commies, maybe the contest should be for the kids to use their artistic skills to come up with a way of making the new county administrative building more suited to the beauty of Inyo County rather than the bleakness of the former Soviet Union.

  Kinda hard,this day and age,since about 2015,to “celebrate” much about ANY type of Government on ANY level..
  County,State or the Government sitting inWashington D.C.
  With this one here, maybe a better idea if they had just said an art contest stating “why I love my County “,and leaving the word “Government” totally out of it..
  That way, maybe drawings and pictures of lakes, streams, mountains and fishing poles and leave the Government “pats on the back ” out of it…
