Inyo County Clerk-Recorder-Registrar Danielle M. Sexton will convene an Election Observer Panel to observe activities associated with the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. Any interested members of the public are invited to participate.
Typically, members of the panel visit one or more polling places on Election Day or the central ballot counting center to observe tabulation of ballots on election night. Panel members are also invited to observe staff at the Elections Department. Members of the panel will be provided with the information they need to participate in these activities.
To participate on the Election Observer Panel, please notify the Elections Department as soon as possible by mail at P.O. Box F, Independence, CA 93526, by phone at 760-878-2155 or by e-mail at [email protected]. If your organization would like to be represented on the Election Observer Panel, please include the name of your representative in your response.
The Elections Department will meet with the panel members to explain their role in greater detail and to provide them with the information they will need to serve. Thank you in advance for your interest in protecting the integrity of our election system.

…As long as there isn’t the “talkin’ bull” like before in 2016 and 2020,in my town some saying they would be sending their “observers” dressed in their red hats,walking around and watching voters,asking questions, I guess thinking to “intimidate” some of them,thinking they could maybe stop some from voting or who to vote for….and before the “thumbs-down” start,that’s the way of this Country nowdays…talking attempted scare tacticts and idle threats that never actually or really materialize,especially when it comes to voting …just a whole lotta talkin’…
