Linda PrangeLinda Suzanne Prange (Price), a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 22, 1947, in Bishop, California, she was the daughter of Paul and Lucille (Cele) Price and grew up in nearby Rovana alongside her beloved sister, Sharen Price.

A lifelong resident of Bishop, Linda graduated from Bishop High School and attended Reno Business College. She married Paul Louis Prange on September 9, 1967, in Reno, Nevada. Together they built a home—first in Rovana, then in Bishop—where they raised three children: Ginelle Prange, Tye Prange (and Stefannye Prange), and Monroe Prange (and Anna Taplin).

Throughout her life, Linda served her community. Linda worked as a telephone switchboard operator in her early years and later served as a teacher’s assistant at Round Valley Elementary School. She also worked at the Rovana Library. She took great pride in her part-time landscaping work for local businesses, tending each yard with the same care and creativity she gave her own. Her rose bushes in particular were a source of joy for Linda and her family and friends — each one a symbol of her appreciation for beauty in simple things. She also delighted in crocheting and needlework, filling her home with handmade treasures.

Linda’s family grew even more vibrant with the arrival of her grandchildren, who live in Texas and brought light, laughter, and joyful chaos to her Bishop home during their visits. She adored her furry companions, Wicket, Toy, and Sassy, who were faithfully walked and lovingly treated to daily ice cream.

Linda’s legacy lives on in the gardens she cultivated, the handmade gifts she gave, the values she lived by, and most of all, the family she held dear. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She will be interred at East Line Street Cemetery alongside her parents, Paul and Cele; her husband, Paul; and her son, Monroe. Per her wishes, no services will be held.
