Two organizations who help people got together this week. The Salvation Army fees hundreds of local people in need every month, and the Inyo Sheriffs Department along with the Inyo Deputies Association donated more than 50 cases of canned food to the Salvation Army food bank.

After the large holiday demands on the food supply, the Deputies Association recognized the need to help restock the food bank. Sheriff Bill Lutze matched the Associations contribution. The Deputy Sheriffs Association decided to make this an annual donation.
