The Rotary Club of Bishop is having its annual Ducky Derby Sunday September 28th at 1:00 pm.  It will be the first year the ducks will be released at the interior bridge at the Creekside Inn as the starting point and ending at the last bridge before Main Street.  The First Place Duck will win $2000.00, the Second Place Duck will win $500.00 and the Third through the Seventh Duck will win $100.00/each.  Tickets will cost $10.00 for one duck, $50.00 for 6 ducks and $100.00 for 12 ducks.

One Hundred percent of all proceeds from this event will go for the Rotary Club of Bishop’s many charitable works including scholarships to local high school graduates and many other programs provided to our local schools plus money will be donated to the international Polio Plus program which provides polio vaccines throughout the world and to current international programs including providing books to schools in Uganda.

Randy Van Tassel and Patricia Ellis of Van Tassell & Paegel Accounting are keeping track of all of the ducks and are happy to sell tickets at their office on 119 Mac Iver Street for the special ducks racing down the creek at the Creekside Inn.  Call Patricia at 760-872-1122 or Pat Nahin at 760-872-2022 for more information in having the opportunity to purchase a duck or ducks to race for you for a chance to win $2000.00 – $500.00 or $100.00!
