“On Friday, October 7, 2022 at approximately 0657 hours, California Highway Patrol and Inyo County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a solo vehicle roll-over collision that occurred on Tecopa Hot Springs Road, north of Furnace Creek Road, just north of Tecopa Hot Springs. The vehicle was reported to be half submerged in the marsh and resting on its roof.
At approximately 4:10 AM, a 40 Y/O female was driving her Ford Mustang convertible at an unknown speed, northbound on Tecopa Hot Springs Road, north of Furnace Creek Road. The 38 Y/O male was seated in the front right passenger seat of the Ford Mustang. For unknown reasons, the driver caused or allowed her vehicle to move onto the right shoulder of Tecopa Hot Springs Road. She over corrected to the left, then back to the right. This caused her vehicle to begin to spin in a clockwise manner as it continued in a northeasterly direction and off the road. As the vehicle left to road, the soft mud of the shoulder caught the leading tires and the vehicle overturned onto its roof in the water.
A resident of Tecopa Hot Springs heard what he thought was a big splash and later investigated the noise. When he searched the area, he observed the overturned vehicle and reported it the the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency personnel from the Inyo County Sheriff Department and Southern Inyo Tecopa Fire Department arrived on scene, winched the vehicle over and discovered both parties deceased. The Bishop CHP is investigating this collision if you have any information regarding this collision, please call (760)-872-5150.”

Dear MC, speaking of car accidents, a lot of us are still wondering who the driver was that killed the pedestrian in Lone Pine. This shouldn’t be a secret should it?
Why and what good would it do to anyone ( in this day and age ) to publish a name and city of this driver ?.
Not really to keep it a secret..
More so ,just nobody else’s real business….
Dear Dennison, you say some pretty ignorant and silly things and are mostly worth ignoring, but this has got to be the topper. I used to drive a lot for work, and that section of highway is posted at 45mph for a reason. It is everyone’s business that drives or walks near 395 that people who break the law (speeding or whatever) and kill someone innocent in the process, are identified and held to answer.
This guy shouldn’t be able to hide behind his money.
Information has not been issued to the media as to who the individual was.
This information is false and was not approved by the family . Even his age is wrong ! If you can’t get details like age down you shouldn’t have posted a whole a story on his tragic passing.

This needs to be changed immediately. My dad was NOT 38, he was 57 years old. Please do not post anything if you do not have the correct information.
