Good morning dog lovers,
A few updates…
- Yesterday Sheriff Rennie and her staff held a Volunteer Appreciation Lunch at the shelter and presented Eastern Sierra Dog Rescue with an award – California Senate District 4 2025 Non-Profit of the Year for Inyo County. We are honored to have been nominated by Sheriff Rennie and selected by Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil. Thank you to Inyo County for supporting ESDR and the volunteers who walk dogs at the shelter and help at our adoption events! We could not do what we do without your help and support!
- The Big Pine Animal Shelter is facing a dire situation with high intake dog numbers. If you are able to adopt or foster a dog, now is the time. Eastern Sierra Dog Rescue is offering FREE DOG ADOPTIONS – we will pay the adoption fee for any dog adopted from the Inyo County Animal Shelter now through the end of September, 2025. Please spread the word, remind people of the importance of spay/neuter, and reach out to me if you have questions about fostering or adopting. Feel free to post this on your social media.
- We are having our annual fundraising yard sale on Saturday, October 4. If you have items you’d like to donate or you’d like to help at the yard sale, please let me know! The yard sale will be at my house in Bishop next to the fairgrounds. This is the same day as the Choo Choo Swap Meet.
THANK YOU ALL!
Cori Stearns, President
