Dora Lucy Harry-Dunchock, age of 95 of Bishop. Dora was born in Lone Pine CA on May 17th, 1929
and passed in Bishop California on January 6, 2025

Dora was a lifelong resident of the Owen’s Valley. Her love and passion for the valley was immense as she stated
that she “could never see herself moving from the valley, this was her home”. Dora became a multi blue ribbon award
winner for her precision and expertise in the craft of needlepoint, crocheting, quilting, embroidery sewing and knitting.
Her works have been well sought after and cherished by friends and family alike.

Dora was a consummate professional in the kitchen where she took pride in teaching her sons the finer points of
planning and preparing meals, canning vegetables, and salsa to aide in their “keeping the pantries full”. This kind of
parental advise had prepared her boys to become well trained in the same duties, as they all have found
their own unique niche in culinary delights.

As with many women during the Second World War, she filled positions normally occupied by men in the mines of
Cerro Gordo and Darwin. Dora often talked of her times as a young teenager, going to dances at Manzanar
Internment camp and socializing with its occupants.

Dora was preceded in death by her Mother Conada (Concha) Solis, 1 brother Salvador Solis, and 1 son Steven
Dunchock. She is survived by 5 sons; Jim & Judy Harry, San Diego Calif, Ed Harry, Bishop Calif, Bob & Jackie Harry,
Schertz Tex, Bill & Terrie Harry, Mena Ark, Tina Dunchock-Coffee of Boise Idaho and Richard and Terry Dunchock,
Boise Idaho, 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Dora’s passing will leave a tremendous void in all the lives she touched as she was loved and appreciated by many.
