Donald M. Slager Sunset Foundation Scholarship Applications Available

The Donald M. Slager Sunset Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarship applications for 2024 scholarships will be available starting January 26, 2014. Applications will be available from guidance counselors at all Inyo and Mono County High Schools and by emailing Eden Roberts at [email protected]. Completed applications will be due by March 8, 2024. Complete instructions will be included in the application packets.

Scholarships are available to graduates from Inyo and Mono County High Schools and are open to 2024 graduates as well as prior year graduates who are already in college or graduate school.

Scholarships are also awarded to students interested in pursuing vocational or technical training. While scholarships vary in amount and length, the typical scholarship to a graduating high school senior is $5,000 for four years. Financial need is considered in awarding most scholarships, but scholarships are also awarded based on academic merit and community
engagement.

The Donald M. Slager Sunset Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) charitable organization
with a primary focus on the motivation of young people for excellence and achievement in
acquiring a well-rounded education. Since its founding in 2001, the Donald M. Slager Sunset
Foundation has awarded more than $7 million in scholarships and community grants.

Anyone with questions about the scholarships should email Eden Roberts at
[email protected].
