Have a Great “Go Do It” New Year’s Holiday!

An amplified trough, dropping down from the PACNW, will bring periods of snow to Mammoth and rain / snow showers to the Owens Valley later today thru Saturday. This trough is slightly negatively tilted, so a bit more energy than Thursday’s system. So Mammoth Main Lodge 4 – 8 inches and Summit 10 inches. Lower snow levels look likely, down to ~6,000 feet as well. The Owens Valley has a 30% – 40% chance of rain / snow showers through the same time period. Shower activity will wane on Sunday, with a few lingering showers in the higher elevations. As of right now, New Years Eve and New Years Day are shaping up to be mostly dry…DMATT
