Outside of smoke from the Quarry Fire, we will continue to have seasonal temps, dry weather and light winds today and Thursday. Then a large scale trough off the PACNW coast will become the primary player in our Weather Friday into Saturday. As its cold front drops South over the Sierra and W. Nevada, temps decrease to below average and there’s a chance (30% – 50%) of precipitation in the Sierra including the Owens Valley. That front will be cold enough to allow for measurable snow, with Mammoth looking at snow levels around 8,300 feet with one inch+ possible. It looks like the weekend will be “sweater weather” for Mammoth..DMATT
Temperatures TODAY:
Lone Pine: 86 / 59
Ridgecrest: 93 / 58
