A cool and dry period today into the weekend. The big story will be the very dry air mass and cold temperatures accompanying a surface high over N. NV and W. Canada. Hard freezes are imminent this weekend for most elevations. Bishop, who has not seen their first 32° yet, but should see it this morning, with temperatures below freezing all weekend. Parts of the Owens Valley then have a Freeze Warning in place Saturday and Sunday. Winter is on its way my friends…DMATT
