As mentioned in last Friday’s forecast, we are expecting even hotter conditions later this week. Starting Tuesday, a subtropical ridge (centered across Southern New Mexico) will gradually build Westward and strengthen to 1 – 2 standard deviations above normal. It should then continue building its strength, at ~595 dm by this weekend. Bishop is looking at 105° (10° above normal) by Saturday (July 15). So yes, the dog days of Summer are here!…DMATT
