Dennis Mattinson’s Weather Forecast for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

WEATHER FORECAST AREA: The Owens Valley / The Town of Mammoth Lakes

FRI APR 02 2021 4:06 AM PDT

SYNOPSIS: As a strong, amped up Pacific ridge continues to move our region, warming temperatures will ensue. Rising heights aloft according to the ECMWF and its EFI (Extreme Forecast index) indicates values between 0.80 – 0.90. Those values are considered extreme in the Owens Valley (for early April) and should reach the 0.80 mark on Saturday. That puts us in the 10 – 15 degrees above average mark. So, in layman’s terms, we are looking at 82° Saturday in the Owens Valley. That’s pretty darn warm for the start of April…DMATT

DMATTs Weather fact: Forecast record challenging highs this weekend: Reno 77°; Death Valley 103°; Phoenix 99°; Mesquite 93°; Las Vegas 93°; SLC 82°.
