FRIDAY Sept 27 2013

The elongated upper low, stretching from Central California to Idaho, has moved into the Rockies. It left behind a nice Fall layer of snow atop most of the Sierra’s highest peaks and breezy to windy conditions. Today weak high pressure builds in for slightly warming conditions (but still below normal) and dry weather. High pressure weakens on Sunday buttressed by a broad trough over the PACNW. Its effect will create windy conditions for Mono County and Reno on Sunday, along with temperatures at or just below normal through Wednesday.
