THURSDAY July 26, 2012

Continued SW flow over our area as the big 4-Corners high remains stuck over the West. With this, relative humidities look to remain very low, in the single digits, in many locations around the area. So of course the fire danger remains extreme. Over the weekend, that big high begins to push NW and will bring a warming trend to our district. As it  does, the upper flow turns more to the SE and this will bring a moisture surge from Mexico and Arizona. Thus the return of the monsoon is possible in our area about Tuesday into Thursday of next week. Stay tuned for updates on this.
