Mammoth Mountain (with its elevation and closeness to the parent low) picked up 8 inches of new Tuesday. As you know, we need all the snow we can get, as the past weekend was not kind to the Sierra snowpack. Shortwave ridging brings on dry and sunny weather, with the overall flow favoring areas to our North. A weak front (with little upper level support) will pass through later Thursday, with a few clouds and breezes. Then Friday into the weekend, quiet weather with warming temperatures and clear skies…DMATT
