Dennis Mattinson’s Weather for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Ellie and Kinley James of San Diego celebrated Thanksgiving in Mammoth Lakes

AREA FORECAST: Bishop & The Owens Valley / The Town of Mammoth Lakes

FRIDAY NOV 27  2020

WEATHER DISCUSSION: Hope you all had a safe, healthy and enjoyable Thanksgiving. Gradual warming through the weekend, with Sunday returning to normal temperatures for late November. All due to strong high pressure taking control, and it should stick around through the first week in December. That ridge will split the Jet Stream, with low pressure systems going to the North or South of us. In fact the Climate prediction Center’s 7 – 10 day forecast suggests mostly dry conditions across the region, as high pressure continues it’s dominance. In any case, precipitation chances remain very low, so it’s high and dry for a while…DMATT
