A zonal flow aloft will keep mostly typical Fall conditions today, with cool mornings, modest winds and dry conditions. Then by later Friday a cold low pressure system dropping down from the PACNW, will produce chilly, showery conditions in our Forecast Area thru the weekend. Plan on precipitation amounts 0.20 – 0.50 inches, cool daytime and evening temperatures, and brisk NW winds. Light snowfall is possible in areas above 8,500 feet Saturday and above 7,500 feet Sunday morning in Mammoth. It looks like it’s time to break out the cool weather gear in or Forecast Area…DMATT
