Area Forecast Discussion – Tue Jan 30 2024

High pressure continues to bring warm and dry conditions through today. Then, a storm sweeps through our area starting Wednesday. The main event should be Wednesday night thru Friday AM. Snow levels 7,500 feet lowering to 4,000 feet by early Friday. Heavy snow is expected over the Sierra Crest and Mammoth. Expect 14 – 22 inches at Main Lodge and 20 – 24 inches over the Summit thru Friday. Saturday / Sunday a slight break with lingering showers, before the next storm early next week.
