One final bout of t’storms today in Mammoth and the Sierra before our first heat wave hits the area. Thursday that stubborn trough pattern, which has been lingering over the West, finally lifts out. This will allow an upper ridge to build in from the East Friday. Quiet weather comes with that ridge but also notable warming. Saturday will be our first shot to hit 100° in Bishop, but it doesn’t stop there. Temps may rise slightly through the holiday weekend. Keep in mind, we will continue to see rises on area rivers and streams, as high elevation snow melt accelerates…DMATT
