Synopsis – FRI JAN 03 2025

The storm today in Mammoth will be light on snow and heavy on wind. Expect 1 – 3 inches at the Main Lodge and winds SW 15 – 20 G 35 mph and G 70 mph over the Crest. The Owens Valley could see gusts to 37 mph in Olancha. After that over the weekend and beyond, the dry period for all begins. High pressure will build over the EPAC and the West Coast. How long can we expect this dry period to last? Things could change, but right now it looks like that ridge will hold through the second week of January…DMATT
